Donor Privacy and Confidentiality Policy

We respect your privacy and adhere to legislated privacy requirements.  We strive to collect only necessary information from you and ensure only authorized personnel have access to it.

 

Our donor information is stored by Zeffy Canada and CanadaHelps, donor management systems that may hold its information outside Canada. They have committed to protecting your information in a way that’s consistent with our organization and federal and provincial privacy and confidentiality legislation. 

 

This personal information may be used to inform you of the impact of your support and opportunities to participate in Dawn Centre campaigns and events. This may be through periodic contacts, special events and surveys. 

 

On occasion Dawn Centre publicly recognizes the names of our donors. Before Dawn Centre uses any of your personal information publicly, we will obtain your written consent to do so. 

 

We do not sell, trade, or rent out any names or personal information.

Donor Restricted Gift Policy

Spending of funds is confined to programs and projects approved by the organization.  Should a donor choose to restrict a contribution for use in a particular program or project, we will honor that restriction with the understanding that when the need for such a program or project has been met or cannot be completed for any reason as determined by the organization, the remaining restricted contributions will be used where most needed.

Personal information will be recorded for tax receipting purposes. Personal information may be used to inform you of our programs and activities including funding needs and opportunities to volunteer and/or donate.  This may be through periodic contacts, special events and surveys. Please inform us if you do not want to receive future communications.
