REGISTERED NURSE
POSITION

The mission of Dawn Centre is to support individuals facing an unexpected pregnancy and sexual health related concerns.  We are a Christian, community focused organization that offers information, educational opportunities, and emotional support to help clients develop their best plan of care for physical, emotional, relational and spiritual wellness. 

Currently the Dawn Centre has a job opportunity to join our team as a Registered Nurse at the Centre located in Cambridge, Ontario.

Position Overview:

  • This is a position of Christian ministry and fulfills a key role in supporting the healthcare services offered at the centre. This involves sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment, point of care ultrasound, and pregnancy options support to women facing unintended pregnancies in our community.

  • Part-time position, 3 days/week

Qualifications:

  • Expresses full agreement with Centre’s Purpose, Mission and Vision Statements, the Sanctity of Human Life Statement, and the Statement of Faith and Core Values.

  • Expresses full agreement with Centre’s Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct and Lifestyle Standards Policy.

  • Holds an active registered nurse’s license in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.

  • Maintains personal professional liability insurance.

  • Maintains current CPR certification.

  • Holds, or is willing to obtain, competency and/or certification in applicable areas of sexual and reproductive health care, including phlebotomy. Willingness to be certified in the application of point of care obstetrical ultrasound and pregnancy options support training.

  • Nursing Care and Health Teaching - STI testing and treatment, application of point of care ultrasound and pregnancy options support.
