Carrying Summer Vibes into September

With only a few days left of summer and a new school year around the corner, you may find your emotions taking you on an unexpected roller coaster ride. Perhaps you’ve spent your days soaking up the sun by the pool without a care in the world, yet lately you feel nervous anticipating freshman year at a new school.

So, how can you hold onto those summer vibes? Here are a few ways you can still chill out as you settle into a new rhythm this September:

  • Explore the outdoors: Being in nature provides many health benefits such as reducing stress and fatigue as well as improving focus and creativity. Did someone say camping?


  • Adventure with friends: If you find your homework load is less heavy at the beginning of the semester, why not spend some weekends at the beach, a drive-in theatre, or touring a new city with your besties?


  • Continue to create: Did you enjoy making music this summer? Writing stories? Painting? Building your own website? Carve out some time each day to channel your creativity into what you love doing. Who knows, you may find yourself feeling more energized when it’s time to hit the books again!
